FAMILY TV is a project of Magdalena and Ludomir Franczak the couple of Polish visual artists. With their performances they tell stories from childhood. They try to reveal deep hidden memories- find out (recall) how was it to be a child. In the same time they are aware of being grown up people living in their environment. Bending is part of the game- what will be if you take your toys to pieces, and then try to put them together again. Will they ever be the same? And what about us- aren't our circuits bended? The FAMILY TV is on. Watch it, hear it.

FAMILY TV to projekt Magdaleny i Ludomira Franczaków. W swoich performance'ach opowiadają oni historie z dzieciństwa. Starają się dotrzeć do głęboko ukrytych wspomnień. Jednocześnie mają świadomość bycia dorosłymi ludźmi, którzy dokonują tego tu i teraz. Częścią zabawy staje się “circuit bending”- zmiana obwodów elektrycznych zabawek. Co się stanie, kiedy rozłoży się zabawkę na części, a potem spróbuje ją ponownie złożyć. Czy będzie taka sama? A co z nami? Czy nasze obwody nie są pozamieniane? Family TV nadaje- oglądaj, słuchaj!

Due to the U.S. Bureaucracy it became impossible for us to come to The Bent Festival. The visa application process was too slow and too complex for a simple fact of cultural exchange. But we won't give it up. We stream from Poland to New York. We make political bending- against the bureaucracy procedures, that make meeting of people impossible.
